Must-Try Healthy Smoothie Recipes

Whether it be a meal replacement shake, pre or post-workout picker-upper, or snack on the go, we compiled a (ever-growing) list of our favorite smoothie recipes below. All of these recipes can be adjusted to your caloric/macro nutrient needs, taste buds, and overall preference.

Note –  we make most of our shakes in Magic Bullets or Ninjas, but any blender will do!

The Berry Good Smoothie

Main Ingredients
1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
3/4 cup frozen Triple Berry Medley (Costco) (consists of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)
3/4 cup frozen chopped kale
1 Serving of your favorite protein powder (I currently use a chocolate or vanilla vegan protein)
1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk on top

Optional/Extras to Add
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 tbsp peanut butter

If you like a thick smoothie that you have to spoon out to eat, add less milk and more ‘extras’, if you like your smoothies more liquid, add more milk and a hair less of all other ingredients.

We like these smoothies for a multitude of reasons. If you like counting your caloric and macro nutrient intake these hit the spot for that. These are very general recipes in terms of the ingredients so you can easily make them your own! If you want more of a chocolate banana taste to the ‘Berry Good’ smoothie, substitute a frozen banana for the berries and use a chocolate protein.

We believe the best shake recipes are tasty as-is, or with your own personal twist. Everyone is different, just like no two workouts are the same, not everyones ‘perfect’ smoothie would be the same either.

Give these a go – and let us know if you come up with any tasty concoctions!
